His wife was Agnes von Sayn, who he married in BEF 1223. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Laure (c1212-1266), Kunigunde (c1220-c1265), Mechtild (c1220->1258), Imagina (c1233-1298) and Adelheid (?-1272).
